How it works

Four steps, seven days

1

Inventory (days 1–2)

Every AI touchpoint found and classified to 50(1)/(2)/(3)/(4).

2

Fix pack (days 3–5)

Disclosure wording, accessible paste-ready HTML snippet, visible-label copy, machine-readable provenance sidecar.

3

Evidence (days 6–7)

The timestamped pack: touchpoint, duty, wording, snippet hash, deployment URL, verification date.

4

Sentinel (monthly)

Re-scan, diff, refresh — new AI features flagged before they ship unlabelled.

Inventory, classified

Every AI touchpoint found and classified to its Article 50 paragraph — 50(1) interaction, 50(2) synthetic content, 50(3) emotion/biometric, 50(4) deepfake / public-interest text. Unknown types go to manual review; they are never auto-classified.

Disclosure copy + snippets

The exact disclosure wording for each touchpoint, plus an accessible paste-ready HTML snippet (class markclear-disclosure, role="note", aria-labelled, data-article) with no JavaScript dependency.

Machine-readable sidecars

For generated content: a provenance sidecar recording the system, type, article, SHA-256 content hash, and timestamp — the mark a visible label cannot be.

Evidence pack

A timestamped pack: touchpoint, duty, wording, snippet hash, deployment URL, verification date — with the rule snapshot and the not-legal-advice disclaimer set as the pack sets them.

Sentinel

Monthly re-scan, new-feature checks, deadline alerts, and a refreshed evidence pack — because the next AI feature you ship is the next gap.

The marking deadline is 2 December 2026. It has not moved.
